Oh my, well, it has been so long since I last logged in and wrote anything! Thanksgiving came and went...we had a great time. Eric worked that evening, so we headed over to Roxie and Steve's for dinner with them. It was very nice.
We celebrated my 29th birthday at the beginning of December, then Kati's 3rd birthday in mid December...then it was Christmas time!!!!
We had a great Christmas. Busy, but great. We went to WV for a few days before Christmas and celebrated with our families, then spent Christmas here at home. This is Eric's year to work the holiday's, so he had to work, but we made the best of it and we were able to spend the first half of the day together.
New Years was good...kindof uneventful, but when you have babies, I guess it is:). Eric and I celebrated the New Year together, the girls fell asleep long before the ball dropped.
January brought a new year and Abbi's 5th Birthday (I have to admit I had a VERY hard time with this one. She is growing up way too fast).
Now we are in February...and half way through!!!
We have traveled quite a bit in the last few months. Between the holidays and the Army, we have been on the road, at least, every other weekend! It's been rough, and I am looking forward to some time at home, just the four of us.
Eric is competeing in a Drill Sergeant of the Year competition. This month he went to Virginia for a weekend and competed and he moves on to the next phase in March, where he will spend a week in Oklahoma. Wish him luck!!!
Eric has word from his unit on a deployment. It looks as though he will be leaving in May or June and will be gone for at least 6 months. He will be going to Ft. Knox to be a drill instructor. I am glad he will be stateside, but still sad that he has to go away again:(. He will be missed here at home. Abbi starts kindergarten in the fall and Kati will start preschool at church, so we are staying behind. We will be visiting often, though!! Keep all of us in your prayers. This is a pretty stressful time, getting ready for him to leave and it is a hard adjustment on the kids.
As for everything else....I could write a book, but I won't. We have just been unbelievably busy. The barn is coming along...VERY slowly, though. We have the foundation poured and the grading on the land done. This week we will lay the blocks and begin putting up the walls. It's just a huge task, and I worry we will not get it done before he leaves...I really don't want a half finished project in the yard until he gets back, but, I guess we will just have to see.
Sorry I have not posted any pictures. I really have been meaning to sit down and work on it, but I am usually so tired by the time the kids go down, all I do is fall asleep:). I will get some on soon!
Well, I will head off for now. I will write again soon!
Take Care to all!
